The San Fernando Valley Branch of California Writers Club was founded in 1986 and is one of the largest in the state. We hold meetings each month to hear speakers or participate in workshops. At our meetings we have "Open Mike" readings with both member and nonmember participation. We have a conference every two years and on alternate years we publish an anthology. Our branch continually strives to grow to meet the needs of the members and those writers who attend our events. All comments and suggestions are welcome. If you would like a particular speaker to come to one of our meetings, you can contact the Program Chair with information. We publish a monthly newsletter called The Valley Scribe. It features columns, articles and stories written by members and nonmembers and CWC news and writing events. We have a special section called "Applause! Applause!" that is usually overflowing with member accomplishments, and member events. To find out
